President
The President of The Columns Society functions as the official representative of the organization. They are responsible for presiding over all general meetings and executive board meetings. The President works closely with the Vice President, Secretary, Advisors, and Chair members to plan new initiatives and ensure all operations run smoothly. The president works to uphold the standards of the Columns Society.

Vice President
The Vice President of The Columns Society occupies a leadership role in all preparation and execution of assignments. They serve as a liaison between the University & Public Events office and the Columns members. They are responsible for processing event requests and filling them in order to ensure that events are successful.

Secretary
The Secretary of The Columns Society maintains accurate records of all Columns Society activities and proceedings. The Secretary drafts and stores documented accounts of meetings. The Secretary also keeps a record of member participation in all functions.
Chairs

New Member Education Chair
The New Member Education Chair is responsible for overseeing all new member training and education efforts, including those outside of the annual new member training period.

Social Co-Chair
The Social Chair is responsible for planning all social events outside of official Columns business and creating an atmosphere of cohesion and friendship among Columns members.

Social Media Chair
The Social Media Chair is responsible for overseeing and operating all Columns Society social media accounts, along with promoting the public image of the organization.

Philanthropy Chair
The Philanthropy Chair is responsible for overseeing all tasks relating to The Columns Society philanthropy, Rhythm Pax. This program provides kits of musical instruments for children with life-threatening illnesses or conditions at Blair Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Alumni Relations
The Alumni Relations Chair is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Columns alumni and maintaining records of past and present Columns activities.

Assistant Vice Chancellor for Wellness and Student Success
Dr. Natasha Jeter is Assistant Vice Chancellor for Wellness and Student Success and Columns Society Advisor for the University of Mississippi. As Column Society Advisor, she advances the traditions of service, leadership, and personal integrity. These values are foundational and form the core of the institution’s commitment to student-centeredness and excellence. Columns Society members all strive for excellence. The work they perform is critical to the University and their service reflects dedication to the mission and vision of our institution. The Columns Society is housed within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, provides service to the offices of the Chancellor, Provost, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, University and Public Events, Athletics, Alumni Affairs, Development, and other offices or officials at appropriate functions and provides transformative experiences for Columns Society Members. These experiences prepare members for future opportunities in Mississippi, the United States, and the world.
